  • Presentation

The diploma of scientific and technical university studies is a national diploma of higher education located at level 5 of the French grid of qualifications. It sanctions a first cycle of university education by the attribution of 120 ECTS. Its access is selective. Its primary purpose is immediate professional integration. Therefore, it certifies a set of skills corresponding to a professional target. The training courses are part of initial or continuing education and include a significant amount of work experience.

The training is a creation resulting from a restructuring within the framework of a partnership between Aix-Marseille University and the apprentice training centres of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region providing the "pharmacy preparer certificate". It is part of a national experimentation process federated by the Conference of Deans of Faculties of Pharmacy and in connection with the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, on the process of universitarisation of the training of pharmacy technicians. The universalization of the training of pharmacy assistants will enable them to maintain a career plan similar to that of other paramedical professions, to facilitate the pursuit of studies in the form of a professional degree, the mobility of professionals in the European area, and the reorientation of their career (either in the context of training or in professional practice) thanks to the gateways provided for by the LMD system.

The objective of university education is to increase the attractiveness of the professions of pharmacy and hospital pharmacy assistant by upgrading the activities and opening up possibilities for career development: possible access to other professional licenses (Industry, Herbalism...), access to health studies and in particular to pharmacy studies within the framework of the measures set up in the reform of access to health studies, access to the "health engineering" master's degree of Aix-Marseille University [course "Prevention of Technological Risks and Nuisances" (PRNT) or course "Medicines and Health Products" (M&PS)].

The training is offered in initial and continuing education as part of an apprenticeship contract or a professionalization contract.

The training articulates and integrates theoretical lessons (CM), practical lessons (TD/TP), professional situations, the learning of methods and tools, especially digital, periods of training in a professional environment, especially internships and individual or group tutored projects. The pedagogy thus gives a large place to the autonomy of the student and to his personal work, to implement and demonstrate the acquired knowledge and skills.

The teaching will be provided by teacher-researchers, teachers, lecturers and practising professionals (pharmacists and/or pharmacy technicians).

Most of the teaching will take place in apprentice training centres, close to the places of apprenticeship in the PACA region, in order to promote the link between training and the professional environment. University courses may be organised in the CFA or at the Faculty of Pharmacy or by distance learning, using digital technologies where appropriate, due to the geographical distance of the partner establishments (CFA) and the geographical distribution of the apprenticeship sites throughout the PACA region.
