Eligibility

• Students with a French master's degree

Students who have obtained their master's degree in France (or any other master's degree, following a training program that establishes their aptitude for research) may have access to a doctoral program.

• Students holding another degree or a foreign degree

Students who hold a degree that does not correspond to the master's level or students who hold a foreign degree are invited to contact their doctoral school to find out about the registration procedure. The latter will determine whether an exemption from the master's degree is necessary.

The doctoral charter

The charter contains all the necessary information on the doctorate at Aix-Marseille University and will enable doctoral students to find precise answers throughout their studies. Each candidate registering for a thesis at Aix-Marseille University signs the doctoral charter stipulating his or her commitments with his or her thesis director (and through him or her his or her laboratory), each having respective rights and duties.

All doctoral students wishing to carry out research at Aix-Marseille University must register each year in the ADUM application (access given by the doctoral school to which they belong) and then register with the university's administrative services (schooling - registration and payment of annual university fees).

For a first registration in a doctoral program, contact your doctoral school, which will guide you in all your registration procedures.

The doctoral schools linked to the Faculty of Pharmacy are

• ED 62 "Life and Health Sciences".
• ED 250 "Chemical Sciences
• ED 251 "Environmental Sciences

After discussion with the doctoral school, registration is done online on ADUM. A "Doctoral Registration Request" form must be printed from ADUM, filled in and signed by the Director of the Doctoral School, then returned to the Pharmacy School for signature by the Dean.

From the 1st to the 4th year :

The application form must be signed by the Thesis Director and the Director of the Doctoral School.

Return this document to the pedagogical school of the Faculty of Pharmacy for signature of the Dean

Then go to the administrative school of the Timone Campus to finalize the registration.

From the 5th year :

From the 5th year onwards, an exemption must be granted by the V.P. Research of the University and by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The application form for derogatory registration is also to be printed on ADUM.

After the agreement of the V.P. Research, the circuit of the documents allowing to finalize this registration in 5th year is identical.

For the defense of the thesis, students must fill in their form accessible on the ENT or on ADUM (recommended)

Edit the document and submit it to the Faculty of Pharmacy. The chronology of the formalities to be carried out is recalled in a document online on the Faculty of Pharmacy website.

Authorization of defense :

Once all the documents necessary for the defense are gathered by the student, an authorization of defense is granted by the Vice President Research.
