Pharmacometrics is a rapidly evolving and growing field. There is an urgent need of trained experts capable of performing and evaluating population PKPD studies with various purposes, such as R&D of new pharmaceuticals, treatment optimization and individualization. This course will give you the theoretical and technical knowledge to accurately perform, interpret and evaluate complex PKPD models..
AIMS
The objective of the training is the mastery by the participants of in silico concepts and tools for population models.
TARGETED STUDENTS
Professionals or PhD students in the fields of pharmacology or toxicology working in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory agencies, hospitals, research laboratories.
ADMISSION CONDITIONS
Preliminary validation of the CESU "Fundamentals for modelling and simulation in pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics" is a prerequisite.
LEARNING SITES
- Faculté de Pharmacie, Marseille timone
SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Diploma can be access by- Initial Formation (FI)
- Continious formation (FC)
KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED
Concepts including statistical inference, algorithms, population model components, parametric and non-parametric modelling, covariate inclusion, complex pharmacodynamic, pharmacodynamic (efficacy, toxicity) and joint, populatioon model validatio, optimal design an simulation. Participants will gain technical experience on Monolix, NONMEM, Phoenix, R and Matlab in workshops.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED
After the training, participants should be able to appropriately implement, interpret and evaluate complex PK/PD models.
